The 2012 Georgetown Grand

Subaru of Georgetown presents the Georgetown Grand, a Texas State Criterium Championship festival in the beautiful city of Georgetown on May 19 and 20.  The focus is a high speed bicycle race in which registered racers will compete  for $30,000 and will race at speeds of 40 mph.  If intense cycling isn't for you, The Grand Tour is a non-competitive, recreational ride for a distance of your choice.  For more information on registration, click here.  Beyond racing, the 2012 Georgetown Grand will support the Caring Place and includes free live music, professional sports, tailgating, concessions, a beer garden, an expo, kid's races and a community lap. To honor those those who have fallen while serving their Country, the Capital of Texas Triathlon will hold the Wounded Warrior Dinner will be held on Saturday, May 26 at the Downtown Hyatt.  The Dinner will feature two "stories to and from our heroes" speakers and flags on display over Memorial Day weekend will honor the soldiers who have lost their lives while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
