The southbound mainlanes of Interstate 35 were shut down for about 30 minutes during the Tuesday morning commute after an 18-wheeler and a motorcycle wrecked.
The accident happened around 8:30am, backing traffic up beyond Parmer Lane. Traffic was diverted to the frontage road.
The motorcycle driver survived and was transported to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
