Bi-district always arrives with mixed feelings from Fanstand. 16-5A vs. 25-4A vs. 26-4A. Four of our Austin-area districts will eliminate half of its own. We'll root on our Cen-Tex Private schools (Hyde Park, St. Michael's, Regents), plus 17-4A teams (Georgetown, Manor, Elgin, Connally). Here is a breakdown of this Thursday's action.
Westwood Warriors (7-3) vs.Del Valle Cardinals (4-6)
QUICK LOOK: When a 7-win season in considered a down year, Westwood Football is at an all-time high. Notable, those 3 losses came to Cedar Park, Lake Travis and Hendrickson. Outside of Del Valle's loss to Lake Travis/Westlake, all their other losses were by margins of one possession. This makes the Cardinals a big-time upset threat. This game will be played at the Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex (Parmer Palace).
KEY WARRIOR:DL Parker Hanusa ('13) Fanstand's pick for Most Improved Player in 16-5A. His district leading 10 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 1 interception means he's on the turf affecting the outcome of games.

KEY CARDINAL: RB Josh Cleveland ('13) The numbers are staggering. 1640 total yards, 22 total TDs. After a full season as the Cards top back, the Summer nay-sayers are asking 'Holman who'? The Josh Cleveland is the biggeset homerun hitter in Central Texas.

LB Kelly McBride ('13) notes that the team was not happy about last game vs. Bowie. They'll be focused for Westwood.

Rouse Raiders (6-4) vs. McCallum Knights (7-3)
QUICK LOOK: The dream season for Rouse Football continues. The Raiders' statement win over crosstown Vista Ridge, speaks volumes. McCallum claimed the 26-4A title despite year-long turmoil. Both teams are peaking as they enter bi-district, as we're expecting this game to come down to the 4th quarter. The game will take place on Thursday night at House Park Stadium.
KEY RAIDER: LB Tim LaPaglia ('13) The likely 25-4A Defensive MVP has notched 111 tackles (over 70 solo), 4 sacks, 3 interceptions and 4 forced fumbles. Tim tallied double digit tackles in 8 of 10 games. 'Nuff said.

RAIDER FLASHBACK: Week 10 Highlights in win vs. Vista Ridge
KEY KNIGHT: QB Griffin Stuesser ('13) The one constant in McCallum Football over the past two years has been Griffin. With 1620 total yards and 20 total TDs in 2012, Stuesser has put a nice cap on a brilliant career as signal caller. The perfect transition from the 'Lusson Era'.

McCallum will play Rouse next Thursday, 7:30 at House Park in the first round of the playoffs.
MAC FLASHBACK: Taco Shack Bowl XI victory over Anderson (2012 season opener)
Cedar Park Timberwolves (8-2) vs. Crockett Cougars (3-6)
QUICK LOOK: CPFB looks like the team the Associated Press felt they were in July. Coming into the year ranked 2nd statewide among 4A teams, the Timberwolves dropped their first two games. Since then, they've honed their new pieces into a machine. The Crockett Football program is on its best stretch of the year. With back-to-back wins, the Cougars have momentum headed into this contest. This will basically be a home game for Cedar Park, as the game is played at Gupton Stadium.
KEY CPFB: ATH Ethan Fry ('13) The playoffs are Ethan's time. Remember the first touchdown score of the 2012 season? The Fry/Grimm combo should play a huge role down the line.
One of the coldest practices I've ever had this morning <<<<
CEDAR PARK FLASHBACK: Week 10 Highlights from sixth district win of 2012
KEY COUGAR: LB Marcellus Henderson ('13) With 100 tackles, 2 interceptions on the season, this will be MH42's greatest challenge. If the Cougars want to compete, they will have to cleverly disguise Henderson, to make sure he's free of double teams.
Cougar WR Trevon Louis ('14) wants to pass the 1000 yard receiving mark in 2012. He still has a chance vs. Cedar Park
been doing work for HOURS ... im so tired, cant stop thoe i will play in tha playoffs .
