Beyond the Birds and Bees,

, is hosted by the esteemed doctors of the Texas Fertility Center located here in Austin.  Sharing their vast experience and knowledge of the fertility issues plaguing more and more adults, Dr. Silverberg, Dr. Hansard, Dr. Vaughn and Dr. Burger would like to offer listeners an open and engaging forum to ask questions, voice concerns and receive candid, educated answers about fertility today. 

The Texas Fertility Center team is always making strides to be at the cutting edge of fertility research, and this is the only outlet in Central Texas where such important knowledge can be disclosed so openly.  Tune in to the show Saturdays from 12-1 pm to get to know the experts and their guests.
 

A native of Dallas, Dr. Thomas Vaughn received his undergraduate degree from UT Austin. He completed his medical school training and residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the UT Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He attended Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, for his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility. Dr. Vaughn was a founder of Austin's only In Vitro Fertilization Program at St. David's Hospital and has served as the President of Medical Staff at Seton Hospital.

Originally from Dallas, Dr. Kaylen Silverberg received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt and attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his Obstetrics & Gynecology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and his infertility fellowship at the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio. Dr. Silverberg is actively involved in infertility research and has published extensive infertility literature. He was recently honored by the American Fertility Association with their Family Building Award, and he is recognized annually as one of the Best Doctors in America.

Originally from Lubbock, Dr. Lisa Hansard attended undergraduate college and medical school at Texas A&M University. She completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio and her fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. She joined TFC in 1996, and is the Director of the Donor Oocyte Program.  Dr. Hansard is recognized as a Best Doctor in America, Texas Super Doctor, and received the Patient Choice Award in 2008.

A native of Marietta, Georgia, Dr. Natalie Burger received her undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a minor in Mathematics.  She attended medical school at Medical College of Georgia and completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Vermont.  She also received her fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Vermont.

Upon graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of North Texas in Denton, Dr. Rinku Mehta received her medical degree and completed her Obgyn residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, TX. Subsequently she completed a three-year subspecialty fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of California San Diego (UCSD). Dr. Mehta has been in private practice for four years and has a special interest in polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, the impact of weight on fertility and hysteroscopic surgical procedures. She is a board certified Reproductive Endocrinologist and her professional memberships include the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the Androgen Excess-PCOS society, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society. In 2009 and 2010, Dr. Mehta was voted one of America's Top Obstetricians and Gynecologists by the Consumer Research Council of America.

All Doctors are Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology, as well as certified or eligible in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility.
