Arizona Immigration Law Falling Apart
Sean kicked off Wednesday’s show wholeheartedly supporting the Arizona Immigration Law which is scheduled to take effect this Thursday, albeit without important pieces including the requirement that law enforcement officials check a person’s immigration status while enforcing other laws. “Every time I’ve ever been pulled over a police officer does due diligence to determine who I am and that I am who I say I am, “laughed Hannity, “what’s the big deal, why can’t we do that here?” Hannity began to heat up as he continued, “I’ve been to the border six times myself and I can tell you there’s a real problem and the financial impact of illegal immigration has been devastating.” The bottom line is that the judicial branch has overstepped its boundaries here and are certainly failing to apply common sense to legislation that will no-doubt help stem the tide of illegal immigration. “The American people are tired of the Federal government allowing people to subvert our law and, in many cases, committing violence because they’re playing political gamesmanship,” argued Hannity.  Hannity.com has the full coverage of this developing story.

Mercedes Colwin and Pam Geller
Sean was joined by his friends Mercedes Colwin and Pam Geller to discuss the battles surrounding the Arizona Immigration Law. “The judge is basically saying that the Federal government has the exclusive right to regulate immigration,” a confused Hannity noted, “This is bizarre and nonsensical because there are a whole variety of issues where state law compliments federal law.” Colwin countered, “But the state doesn’t have the authority to regulate immigration, that’s the biggest issue here.” Geller quipped, “I lay this at Obama’s feet, this is a national security issue and the American people lost today.” This has been an interesting debate but ultimately the power to enforce laws should go to those who are most impacted. The federal government has certainly failed the public; especially those living on the borders, and Arizona simply did what Washington wouldn’t. They pr otected their borders.

Bob Beckel and Tucker Carlson
Fox News analyst Bob Beckel and Tucker Carlson joined Sean to discuss the latest controversies of the day. “I assume, Bob, that you’re outraged that John Kerry didn’t pay the taxes on his yacht.” “My guess is that if I went through that same marina I’d find more Republicans than Democrats who’re cheating on their taxes,” laughed Beckel. “Liberals are generous but it seems only with other people’s money,” noted Hannity. Carlson added, “Take a look at charitable giving and you’ll see that evangelical Christians give the most by far.” Not that it’s a competition to see who’s the most charitable public personality but is it too much to ask that those who dole out the taxes also pay their fair share?

Today’s “Hot Topic” From The Hannity Forums:
Gov. Rendell – Obama Could Be Primaried in ’12. – Posted by Nevarwinter
From the AP. Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell predicted on Tuesday that if the president escalates America's military involvement in Afghanistan he could very well face a primary challenger in 2012. In an overlooked "Morning Joe" segment on Tuesday, the Pennsylvania Democrat offered his distinct brand of eccentric, conversation-driving political foresight. He couched his statement about the possibility of a primary challenge by stressing that if Obama sticks to his current plans for Afghanistan -- a reduced military presence beginning in July of 2011 -- there would not be political insurrection within the party.
