The Southeastern Conference on Thursday announced the winner of its 2013 SEC Professor of the Year Award, Dr. Harry McSween, Chancellor?s Professor and Distinguished Professor of Earth and Planetary Sciences at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

A four-person team from the University of Florida captured the inaugural Southeastern Conference MBA Case Competition on Saturday. The three-day event was hosted by the University of Missouri at its Trulaske College of Business.
SEC Announces Faculty Achievement Award Recipients
The Southeastern Conference on Wednesday announced winners of the 2013 SEC Faculty Achievement Awards. These annual awards recognize professors from the 14 SEC member universities who have meritorious records in teaching and scholarship and who serve as role models for other faculty and students.
Inaugural SEC MBA Case Competition At Missouri
The University of Missouri will host the inaugural SEC MBA Case Competition April 11-13 in Columbia, Mo. The event is one of several activities of SECU, the Academic Initiative of the Southeastern Conference.
Hladik, Moir Named Davis SEC Leaders Of The Year
University of Missouri swimmer Joseph Hladik and University of Kentucky golfer Megan Moir have been named the 2012-13 Brad Davis Southeastern Conference Community Service Leaders of the Year, Commissioner Mike Slive announced Thursday. The two were chosen by a committee of Faculty Athletics Representatives from SEC universities. Each will receive a $10,000 post-graduate scholarship, provided by the SEC.
SEC Names McWhorter Scholar-Athlete Award Nominees
Twenty-eight Southeastern Conference student-athletes ? one male and one female from each of the SEC?s 14 institutions - have been nominated for the H. Boyd McWhorter Scholar-Athlete Award, it was announced Wednesday. Each year, the SEC, in conjunction with AT&T, an SEC Corporate Champion, provides the league?s male and female McWhorter Scholar-Athlete Post-Graduate Scholarship recipients with a $15,000 post-graduate scholarship. The 26 remaining male and female finalists for the award will also receive a $7,500 post-graduate scholarship.
SEC Announces Davis Community Service Nominees
Twenty-eight Southeastern Conference student-athletes ? one male and one female from each of the SEC?s 14 institutions - have been nominated for the Brad Davis SEC Community Service Post-Graduate Scholarship, it was announced Tuesday. The overall recipients of the Brad Davis SEC Community Service Post-Graduate Scholarship will be released on April 4.
